it has been a busy month

just looking again here now and realizing I haven't posted anything since late November. Not sure when I would have found the time anyhow. Things have been moving at breakneck speed for us and things have been a mixture of excitement, trepidation, sadness, anxiety, and hope for all of us. This move has been earth shaking for the kids but in the end Naomi and I feel it will be very good for them. My family moved a lot when I was young and though I didn't always appreciate it, moving taught me some valuable skills for coping with stress and making new friends that has really helped me in my adult life. The great thing about kids is how resilient they are, once the reality hits Naomi and I, it might be true that the kids are coping better than us.

Anyway the movers loaded the van yesterday, its kinda funny to see your whole life packed into a semi truck... and well be headed to the house TAMC found for us. We're staying here thru the holidays and hitting the road the 27th.

The First Post

This post is more of a test than anything, This page will be a way for family and friends to help keep track of me and my family, wife and three daughters as we make our big move from LaCrosse, Wisconsin to Presque Isle, Maine.

To further test this system I will also insert a pic of myself dressed in my viking reenactment garb.

Well that seemed to work and now to try to load it all onto a real page :)
